Account Lead – MoD

Location: Chippenham / Hybrid 

Hours: Full time

The Role:

Due to continued growth, Sirius Analysis are looking to add an experienced technical Account Lead with proven Defence sector experience to their team. Working alongside other Account Lead’s, in this role you will lead the growth and development of key target accounts including Defence Equipment & Support (DE&S), Front Line Command’s (FLC’s) and prime defence suppliers. You will be expected to identify new business and relevant frameworks, in order to create new opportunities and business collaborations.

Responsibilities will include:

    • Identifying and developing key target accounts, managing own lead generation.
    • Business performance for key target accounts, meeting growth expectations.
    • Understanding account needs and their business drivers to maximize opportunities.
    • Strategically engage customers, competitors and partners, providing effective solutions.
    • Work with technical teams regarding client requirements, providing bid input and resource allocation solutions.
    • Execute a client focused account strategy aligned to business goals.
    • Internally communicate agreed strategy with the wider business, highlighting key account strategies, pipeline and opportunities.
    • Regular internal metric reporting in relation to current and future trends for key target accounts.
    • Attend customer meetings and exhibitions as required, providing a report afterwards to Directors and Senior Leadership Team (SLT).
    • Represent the business in a professional manner to uphold reputation.
    • Work closely with Marketing Manager regarding key account support.
About You

The successful candidate must be able to demonstrate the following essential and desirable attributes:

Essential Qualifications and Experience

    • A Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent, ideally in an STEM related subjected or similar.
    • Proven account management and business development experience within Defence, particularly DE&S, FLC’s and prime defence suppliers.
    • Technical knowledge, experience and business network within the Defence sector.
    • Proven success in developing, managing and winning bids within a Defence Consultancy environment.
    • Outstanding consulting skills, communication and stakeholder management skills.
    • Experience of providing creative solutions to solve key challenges.
    • Proven relationship building and influencing skills.

Other Requirements

    • Candidates must have an existing right to live and work in the UK.
    • Candidates must be willing to undergo an internal Baseline Personnel Security Standard (BPSS) check prior to starting their employment with the company.
    • Candidates will also need to either hold a current SC clearance or be willing and eligible to undergo a Security Clearance check (SC level) upon starting their employment with the company. To gain SC clearance you will normally need at least 5 years’ UK residency.
