Project Support Officer – Quality

Location: Remote* / Hybrid / Office based. *With the expectation of meeting once a month.

Hours: Full time

The Role:

To support the maintenance and delivery of the Quality Management System (QMS) across the company and undertake quality controls on internal and external projects.


Responsibilities will include:

    • Maintain and sustain the company’s Quality Management System and ISO accreditation.
    • Conduct internal audits across the company.
    • Support the delivery of quality controls on projects predominantly within the Defence and non-defence environments.
    • Providing effective stakeholder management, communications management and monitoring and reporting on projects.
    • Delivering tasks to time, cost budgets and quality.
    • Supporting project teams with review of plans and proposals ensuring compliance with QMS.
    • Building new relationships and maintaining successful working relationships with staff, suppliers and customers.
    • Maintaining productive working relationships with project teams.
    • Supporting the business development activities of the QST team and wider company activities in line with business objectives.
    • To work simultaneously across multi projects and tasks.
    • To be flexible and adaptable and able to work with changing priorities, new areas of work and travel to different site locations when needed.

About You

The successful candidate must be able to demonstrate the following essential and desirable attributes:

Essential Qualifications and Experience

    • Minimum 3 years’ experience in a project support role.
    • Educated to degree level with relevant professional qualification ie project management, quality management.
    • Demonstratable experience of maintaining and sustaining quality management systems and conducting internal audits.
    • Demonstratable experience of supporting the delivery of projects successfully.
    • Demonstratable skills in stakeholder management, communications and supporting teams on projects.

    • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneous.

Desirable

    • Be a member of an appropriate professional body (such as APM, PMI) and have a desire for further professional development.
    • Have practitioner experience in defence or non-defence environments.
    • Understanding of and/ or qualifications in quality Management and ISO accreditation.


Other Requirements

    • Candidates must have an existing right to live and work in the UK.
    • Candidates must be willing to undergo an internal Baseline Personnel Security Standard (BPSS) check prior to starting their employment with the company.
    • Candidates must be willing and eligible to complete a United Kingdom Security Vetting (UKSV) security clearance application to the Security Check (SC) level upon starting their employment with the company. To gain SC Clearance you will normally need at least 5 years’ UK residency.
