Since its founding, Sirius Digital have begun the process of establishing its team. Consequently, Sirius are delighted to announce that Sadie Belsey, John Wragg, Alfie Froude and Ross Gauld have joined the Digital team.

Sadie joins as a Junior Software Engineer, having graduated in 2020 from the University of Southampton with a first class integrated master’s degree in Mathematics. Her final year project involved an exploration of aperiodic tiling of 2-dimensional space, particularly those proposed by Roger Penrose. Sadie’s first experience with coding was implementing a second-order differential equation solver in Python for one of her 3rd year modules, and she has since continued learning the fundamentals of programming. Since graduating she has taken on many personal projects in an effort to establish her career goals, and this will be her first technical role.

John joins as a Software Engineer, having worked in the Defence sector with roles in Data Science and Software development. He has worked across projects on sensor fusion and object tracking, wargaming, and developing machine learning tools within topic horizon scanning. John is passionate about technology, and very much enjoys using programming and computing to solve problems. Outside of work he enjoys practicing music and training sports.

Alfie is joining as a Junior Software Engineer, after recently graduating from the University of Portsmouth studying Virtual and Augmented Realities (BSc Hons). He is a creative and hard-working problem solver with a keen interest in future technologies. Alfie is excited to apply knowledge and skills to real-world challenges in the field of software development and technology. He previously worked on academic projects exploring GPS combined with spatial audio and working on a client led project for IBM. In his spare time, Alfie enjoys playing video games, hiking, and getting out and about.

Ross is joining the team as a Junior Software Engineer. They have recently graduated with a 2:1 in Games Design and Production from Abertay University, where for their honours project Ross developed a design framework for creating Player-NPC relationships.
