Sirius are delighted to announce that we are supporting the Navy Children’s Charity (NCC). We had a special guest attend our Team Day Out, NCC’s Chief Executive Clare Scherer, who gave a presentation on all the wonderful work her organisation does.

The NCC began in 1825 as a collection of orphanages and has evolved into a dynamic charity that provides relief to children in need, hardship, or distress. Those supported are children and young adults with a parent who serves, or has served, in all branches of the Naval Service. This is delivered through a team of professional caseworkers who work with families with a diverse range of needs.

Clare gave an amazing presentation. Thanks so much for coming to visit us!
The Time Penguins came to visit the office! Their primary role is to help children understand why their parent is away for long periods of time. They are part of a selection of books the NCC produce. Keen knitters can make their own penguins (and rabbits) too!

The Royal Navy is close to the hearts of many at Sirius, with several of the team having served directly or indirectly in some way. The NCC are currently providing grants to over 2000 children annually and Sirius cannot wait to get started with fundraising to boost that number! We have kicked this off with a £1000 donation and are planning to provide specialised office support to help enhance their current operations. Watch this space for updates on future fundraising events!
